Connect Environmental is a small environmental consultancy based in Darwin. Our core focus is on terrestrial ecology, environmental management and approvals. We commenced in 2018 and are looking to expand our team with the addition of a mid-level terrestrial ecologist.
The role will largely centre around terrestrial flora and fauna surveys, mostly in the greater Darwin region (i.e. within two hours’ drive), but occasionally further afield.
A tertiary qualification in environmental science or ecology (or related discipline), as well as minimum of three years of NT experience in terrestrial ecological field work is essential.
Report preparation, project management and an understanding of relevant environmental legislation, environmental consulting, client management and NT approvals is an advantage but not essential.
This position is on a casual basis though, based on 2019, regular work is expected.
A current driver’s licence is also essential.
We acknowledge and value the rights and interests of Indigenous Peoples in the protection and management of environmental values through their involvement in decisions and processes, and the application of traditional Indigenous knowledge.
