About the opportunity

Have you got an eye for detail, can steer project delivery teams and provide solutions to challenges as they arise?

With proven experience in an infrastructure or similar environment including on-site environmental compliance expertise, you will actively monitor contractor performance and complex work packages. The Environmental Management System (EMS) Manager is integral in delivering on our environmental commitment and rely on troubleshooting skills to address inter package risks and implement appropriate strategic actions that are in line with environmental compliance and performance requirements, planning and heritage approvals and relevant standards and codes of practice.

You are:

• Well-organised with excellent interpersonal skills that empower you to establish and maintain key stakeholder relationships at all levels and within a multi-disciplinary project team.
• An expert negotiator and possess influencing finesse to be able to create buy-in, broker agreement and resolve conflicts.
• A succinct, clear and adaptable communicator with strong written skills in the preparation of formal briefings, reports and documentation for senior management. 

Additionally, you will have operational expertise auditing and reviewing environmental management systems, analysing environmental and sustainability data and be confident working to the following requirements:

• Environment Management Framework (EMF) and compliance
• ISO/AS 14001 environmental management systems and knowledge of recent 2015 updates to the ISO standard
• Environmental Performance Requirements (EPRs) or equivalent and their application, compliance, and issue resolution
