About the Role

We currently have an entry level opportunity for an environmental engineer, environmental scientist, hydrogeologist or soil scientist from graduate level to 2 years of experience.  The role would be based in our Brisbane office. The initial focus of the role will be assisting with land, soil and water related projects, including contaminated land, erosion and sediment control and environmental management.

Job opportunities will include:

  • Working on projects from inception through to delivery, both with the team and independently.
  • Field work including implementation of learned techniques for sampling of environmental media.
  • Liaison with sub-contractors, clients and regulators throughout the life of a project.
  • Spatial analyses, including the use of GIS software.
  • Data analysis, interpretation and presentation.
  • Report writing, including proposals and technical reports.
  • Travel to undertake field work, sometimes in remote locations.
  • Training and professional development opportunities.

Skills and Experience

The successful applicant will require the following:

  • A graduate degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or an equivalent related discipline.
  • Experience in a contaminated land consultant role is favoured but not essential.
  • Good communication skills, including the ability to liaise with clients, regulators, staff, contractors and sub consultants.
  • Excellent written communication skills, a high level of attention to detail and strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Be able to work as part of a small team and contribute ideas and innovative approaches to project challenges.
  • Proficient at Microsoft packages, including Word and Excel.
  • A current driver’s licence is mandatory (a manual licence is preferred).
