E2M is hiring! We’re offering the opportunity for a mid-level to senior Bushfire Consultant to join and grow our Brisbane Bushfire team.

The opportunity will include:

  • contributing to a dynamic, competent and proactive team
  • working closely with the leadership team to manage and expand E2M’s Bushfire services
  • working on a range of projects across the mining, gas, renewables, urban growth and infrastructure sectors
  • conducting bushfire hazard assessments, Bushfire Attack Level assessments and developing bushfire management plans, both locally and throughout Queensland; and
  • assisting our ecology assessment team with field surveys and reporting where required.

 

We’re looking for a team player who:

  • has two to ten years’ experience in a similar role
  • has demonstrated understanding of bushfire legislation, fire ecology, fire behaviour, emergency and evacuation planning
  • Fire Protection Association of Australia (FPAA) Bushfire Planning & Design (BPAD) certification (preferably Level 2 or Level 3. For the right candidate we can facilitate certification)
  • actively participate and lead business development activities
  • has excellent written communication skills
  • exhibits an attention to detail that results in professional outputs
  • is motivated to proactively contribute to a team environment
  • has experience utilising spatial software
  • has tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (i.e. Environmental Science, Bushfire Science, Fire Engineering)
  • holds a current open drivers licence; and
  • has the right to live and work in Australia.

 

The following would be highly regarded to fulfil a dual role as an ecologist:

  • has demonstrated understanding of environmental legislation
  • has strong flora and/or fauna identification skills
  • willing to travel for field work for up to two weeks at a time; and
  • qualifications in a relevant field.
