Webinar | Great ideas but where does Indigenous Cultural Intellectual Property fit in?!

With the Australian community and businesses understanding that they can and should do more to help support First Nations people and culture comes offers to engage and help. Sometimes those offers and approaches can cut across cultural aspects and storylines leading to First Australians feeling disengaged and separated from their culture. This presentation will go through some personal examples of what those situations can look like and some approaches to engagement. The presentation will be more like a fire side yarn about experiences. This event will be run as a Zoom meeting to encourage interaction between participants. Bram would encourage participants to come along with questions to ask of him to participate in the discussion.

Meet the Speaker: Bram Mason

Bram has taken on the part time General Manager role of Black Duck Foods, an Aboriginal owned charitable business dedicated to increasing First Australians food sovereignty rights. He approaches the role with deep respect for Aboriginal culture and understanding of how storylines and cultural practices have shaped the ecology of Australia. Bram also holds part time employment in State Government and is a non-executive Board member of Remember the Wild and past member of the Victorian Division of EIANZ.

This event will run on Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST).

This event will be recorded and a link to the recording will be sent to all registered attendees.
