Emma Gaunt will discuss the role of the Appeals Convenor, recent developments in practice, and explore options for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of decision making.
Emma Gaunt is the current Appeals Convenor, appointed to the role in May 2015. Emma brings over 20 years’ experience as an environmental professional to the role, having held senior positions in the Western Australian and Queensland Governments and as an environmental consultant to oil and gas and mining majors.
In her current role, Emma provides an independent perspective and advice to the Minister for Environment on appeals against decisions and recommendations of the Environmental Protection Authority and Department of Water and Environmental Regulation.
This event will also be offered via Zoom Meeting for those participants who are unable to come to Perth for the event.
