The Victorian Division of EIANZ would like to invite mentors and mentees to participate in the EIANZ Victoria Mentoring program for 2021.

Have you benefited from the guidance of a senior environmental professional during your career? Now is your chance to return the favour!

Would you like an opportunity to gain insight from the experience of a well-established professional in your field? Here's your chance!

EIANZ Victoria's Mentoring Program aims to connect professional mentors and mentees, and provide guidance to help participants get the most out of their mentoring partnership. This is also a great opportunity for experienced environmental professionals to provide leadership and guidance to the next generation.

The deadline for registration is Friday 19 March 2021 at 5:00pm.

The mentoring program is available to all environmental professionals and students, at no cost to EIANZ members and $50 for non-members. Places are limited and preference will be given to EIANZ members.

Please note that due to the popularity of the Mentoring Program, it is important that you are willing to commit to a 9-month mentoring program and will put in the effort required to be an effective and engaged mentor/mentee. Mentees should be aware that it is up to them to drive their mentoring partnership and the program isn't designed to purely help find employment in the environmental field.

Once our 2021 cohort has been selected, a Mentoring Program Launch Event will be held in March in the CBD to kick off the program. Topics covered during the interactive session may include:

• Mentoring communication model
• Defining the purpose of your mentoring partnership
• Powerful communication tools
• Asking great questions

It is a great opportunity to start your partnership off from a solid foundation and a chance to meet your mentor/mentee.
