The Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand, in partnership with LaunchPad, will be running an interactive Networking Skills Workshop aimed at providing students and early career professionals with some tools and strategies to break into / succeed in their environmental careers.

It will provide an opportunity and necessary tools for participants to identify, clarify and build on their unique personal branding to create breakthroughs in their career (whether starting off new in a career or looking for breakthroughs in an existing one). It will also provide insights and practical strategies and approaches to tackle network settings, be comfortable in them and maximise opportunities, as well as strategies for following up on opportunities and making things happen.

The workshop will be highly interactive, with a delivery model that will focus on:

• Confirming career and life purpose by uncovering the GPS (Gifts, Passion and Service) that is unique to each individual;
• Testing it out and gaining confidence through practical and interactive scenarios;
• Active engagement and building positive relationships for collaboration and future opportunities;
• Developing a support network and allies to contribute to goals and vision.
