In July 2018, the SA EPa released a suite of documents providing guidance on the assessment and remediation of site contamination including the much anticipated Guidelines for the assessment and remediation of site contamination - the GAR. This is the culmination of four years of engagement, consultation and learnings by the EPA.
The new GAR provides processes for determination of site contamination and environmental values of groundwater, greater clarity on notification under section 83A of the Environment Protection Act 1993 and a framework for remediation. The EPA's regulation for application of the guideline commenced on 1 October 2018.
Come and join us to hear about the GAR, explained by the SA EPA.
