Please join the committee, other members and guests to celebrate all the great achievements and challenges of last year and what might come in 2021.
Come along and catch up with the great people working within the South Australian environmental sector for an evening of fun, networking and fantastic guest speakers on offer.
With their large areas of hard surfaces, which absorb, store and radiate heat, airports are often subject to urban heat island effect. Airports can experience significantly warmer temperatures than the surrounding areas, which impacts both terminal and airside operations. Airports play an important role in managing a city's urban microclimate, with Adelaide Airport employing industry-leading heat mitigation methods to combat UHI effect. Come hear from Adelaide Airport’s Jessica Westthorp, Airport Engineer and Leigh Gapp, Sustainability Manager on their experience with Adelaide Airport's exciting heat mitigation strategies.
