Meet the Speaker

Andrew Copus, Program Manager at PIRSA Biosecurity, will be presenting on the Biosecurity Act. Andrew has a strong people focus with extensive experience in building cohesive and high performing teams. Strengths in leadership, organisational governance, project management, strategic planning, change management, business and legislative reform. Working within the Office of the Chief Executive, Andrew is responsible for driving policy, program and legislative reform relating to legislation and programs administered by PIRSA. He provides leadership, oversight, engagement and guidance across the Agency, industry, State and Commonwealth government and plays a crucial role in ensuring that reforms are consistent with relevant legislation in other jurisdictions. Andrew's role also requires him to work in close collaboration and partnership with stakeholders across jurisdictions and industry to support policy, program and legislative development.
