Come along to hear about what the NBA is about, and how it will affect early career environmental practitioners as they move through their working lives! Presentations will be given by legal and environmental professionals specialising in ecology, water quality, and planning, who will provide their key takeaways from reading and submitting on the draft NBA, as well as the potential impacts the NBA will have on their area of work and on early career professionals entering this space.
Meet the speakers:
Kirsty Dibley | Senior Solicitor at Russell McVeagh
Kirsty will be speaking on the main differences between the RMA and NBA, as well as an opinion piece on the draft bill
Garrett Hall | Technical Director, Environments at Beca
Garret will be speaking on matters relating to water quality and environmental bottom lines
Dr Ian Boothroyd | Associate Partner, Ecologist at Boffa Miskell
Ian will be speaking on potential effects the draft NBA may have on ecological outcomes
Marsha Badon | Senior Associate, Planning at Beca
Matt Lindenberg | Technical Director, Planning at Beca
Marsha and Matt will provide an overview of the RMA reforms and NBA in relation to planning.
