NZ | Top of the South | Creating a Sustainable Future

The top of the South NZ Chapter of EIANZ invites you to join a presentation by Fiona van Petegem BE(Hons) MBA, from Regenerative Business Development on why traditional “sustainability” measures are not working? Why are we not seeing the “unprecedented far reaching changes” the IPCC report is calling for?

Transition Engineering is a new interdisciplinary field of engineering that has been developed over the last 20 years to create the disruptive change necessary to address climate change.

Our engineered systems need to change, but an understanding of the economic, political, social, and behavioural complexities need to be appreciated and factored into those changes. Solar panels, EV’s, hydrogen and bioplastics are not the solutions. How do we get past the distractions and focus on what really needs to happen?

Refreshments and networking opportunity following the presentation.
