Join the Northern Territory Division for a free presentation from Jane Munday on Impact Assessment in the 21st Century: A focus on social and cultural sustainability in developing the North.
There will be an introduction by Professor Ruth Wallace, Dean of the College of Indigenous Futures, Arts and Society, Charles Darwin University.
Jane is a PhD candidate at the Northern Institute of Charles Darwin University. She has been researching models of cultural and social impact assessment that will deliver sustainable social, cultural, ecological and economic development of the North, paying particular attention to more participatory processes.
Jane will discuss the preliminary findings of her research. This has included an audit of all environmental impact assessments done in the Northern Territory since the Ranger Uranium Mine in 1974.
