The program explores five interconnected themes:

• Policy, regulation and governance: compliance mechanisms, offset frameworks and the evolving EPBC Act landscape
• Net gain, nature positive and emerging markets: the rise of nature-positive approaches, emerging biodiversity and nature repair markets, and how offset funds and market-based mechanisms can drive real outcomes while supporting project assessments and delivery
• Offset assessment, design and delivery: practical realities from aligning the mitigation hierarchy to addressing unacceptable impacts, challenges of restoration and habitat creation, climate-resilient offsets, managing scarcity, lessons learned from implementation, and the opportunities presented by advanced offset frameworks

We're accepting abstracts for spoken presentations and posters. Submissions are welcome from EIANZ members and non-members on any of the five conference themes. Abstracts must align with the conference theme: Nature Positive by 2030: Integrity, Restoration and Net Gain in Action.

Submissions close on Monday 2 March 2026. Presenters notified by Friday 13 March 2026.
