Join us for the fourth seminar of our Alternative Energy series. This forum will investigate some of the contemporary trends in renewable energy projects, with a specific focus on what is happening here in Queensland.
The southern states are currently grappling with how best to approach the potential cumulative environmental impacts of numerous solar and wind farm projects that are proposed in the same area. How do these issues relate to Queensland, and is our planning framework appropriately designed to deal with these matters?
The Queensland Solar Farm Guidelines have now been available for over 9 months. How have these guidelines been received by developers, stakeholders, communities and regulators?
Finally, hear about the success of a sustainable jet fuels trial at the Brisbane Airport which recently passed the 1,000,000km milestone and promises to be a key step towards a more sustainable aviation industry.
Come along to hear some interesting presentations from experienced practitioners and join the discussion about contemporary trends in alternative energies.
This event will count as 2 points towards your EIANZ CEnvP Professional Development Log.
