Ecology | Special forum on using acoustic technologies to better manage aquatic ecosystems

The Ecology Special Interest Section of the EIANZ is convening a one-day forum featuring a series of special presentations regarding a selection of acoustic technologies that can be used to monitor and manage aquatic ecosystems. The presentations will cover a wide range of aspects including:

  • Using sound to monitor pest fish species
  • Using hydroacoustic techniques to detect conservation significant species
  • Hydroacoustic fisheries management
  • Using high-resolution side-scan sonar for habitat assessment and mapping
