Ecology | Special forum on acoustic technology for ecological research, conservation and management

The Ecology Special Interest Section of the EIANZ is convening a one-day forum featuring a series of special presentations regarding a selection of acoustic technologies for ecological research, conservation and management. The presentations will cover a wide range of aspects including:

  • State-of-the-art devices to monitor the ultrasonic echolocation calls of bats
  • Active, passive and mobile acoustic monitoring
  • Koalas and the use of acoustics
  • Microbat echolocation detection and analysis
  • Bioacoustic monitoring to detect rare species
  • Acoustic monitoring of toadlets
  • Ultrasonic acoustic devices on wind farms
  • Bioacoustics to examine the ecology of flying-foxes
