Getting off the Ground - Environmental application of Drones

Published 17th October 17 7:00 AM by SEQ Division

Date:

Monday 6 November 2017

Time:

5.30pm to 8pm. (Registration from 5.15pm, networking drinks from 7.20pm until 8pm)

Embracing technology can be costly, but so can ignoring it. The use of Drones for surveillance, modelling and location video/photography has reduced field hours and required equipment and has allowed access to sites that have either been too difficult or dangerous to access. Join us for an interesting evening looking at the application of drones – what they can do, what results they produce and how they can be used to enhance your project outcomes. We will also be addressing the legislation for drones in Queensland.

This event will investigate:

  • Current technologies available including samples of use in the field
  • The range of use for Drones in a project and how that can translate to cost savings
  • Legal aspects associated with drone use
  • How drone technology has given access to area’s previously inaccessible (the use of drones in natural disasters)
  • Future technologies and applications for drones

This event will be technology and capability focused and is not a marketing event

Speakers & topics will include:
