Paul is an experienced environmental practitioner, working across public and private sectors. His professional experience is supplemented by governance roles in the not-for-profit and academic sectors with responsibilities across Australia and New Zealand, including about 10 years on Boards.
Currently, Paul is an Assistant Manager at the Clean Energy Regulator, an Australian Government agency. His career to date has included delivery of environmental impact assessments for major urban, infrastructure and other developments and the implementation of significant policy and regulatory reforms across the environment portfolio.
Paul joined the EIANZ as a student member in 2001 and became a Certified Environmental Practitioner in 2011. He was previously Vice President of the New South Wales Division Committee (2009 – 2011) and Chair of the Students and Early Careers Committee (2010 - 2012). Paul has been Board Secretary since 2013.
Paul holds a Bachelor of Science (Env Sci) and Master of Environmental Science and Law from the University of Sydney along with a Master of International Law and International Relations from UNSW.
Outside the office, Paul is a dedicated Ultimate Frisbee player, coach, organiser and spectator. He lives in Canberra with his husband Sam and together they enjoy travelling, sports, beer and brunch, not necessarily in moderation.
