I was the EIANZ Student and Early Careers representative for New Zealand for over two years; during that time I increased student members and engagement with student and early career members across New Zealand. I sit on the New Zealand Executive Committee and was a part of the team that organised the 2017 EIANZ conference and 2018 New Zealand symposium.
I also recently gained CEnvP status. I have enjoyed investing in a role that supports people to realise their potential and helps to ensure that our capability in the sector grows and delivers into the future. This passion was recognised in 2018 when I was the recipient of the Young Environmental Professional of the Year Award. I am looking forward to having the opportunity to continue to promote and advocate for EIANZ within New Zealand.
I worked as an environmental scientist for over six years for Stantec and am an approved Project Manager. This means I am experienced in managing multiple staff members and stakeholders and that I have experience in working collaboratively. Within Stantec I promoted a proposal to improve diversity and sat on the Asia Pacific Diversity Council and run the Stantec New Zealand diversity group. I now work as a Senior Policy Analyst for the Ministry for Primary Industries Water Team.
