Australian Membership

Memberships:

  • Full Membership

    Full membership is open to degree qualified, environmental practitioners with at least two years' experience or environmental practitioners with more than five years' experience.

  • Associate Membership

    Associate membership is open to recent graduates and those with an interest in environmental practice.

  • Student Membership

    Student membership is intended to support those who are undertaking full-time environmental study and may not be able to afford associate membership.

    Eligibility
    A natural person shall be eligible to be considered as a Student Member of the Association if they are a person who is:

    • Undertaking full-time study for a certificate, diploma, degree, accredited degree, graduate certificate, graduate diploma, or higher degree qualification in one or more of the functional areas of environmental practice.
    • Is not employed in a part-time, full-time, or equivalent contract or consulting position.
    • Note, those in casual employment are eligible.

    Students who are engaged in professional work with less than two years practical work experience should apply for Associate membership. Students that have more than two years practical work experience should consider a Full membership.

    Student members are offered a reduced membership fee and reduced rates for some Institute events, conferences, seminars and workshops. Students do not pay an application fee.

    Student members do not have voting rights and cannot use a post-nominal.
