Regulating prices and services to protect the environment in the ACT

Environmental Knowledge & Awareness Seminar

The Independent Competition and Regulatory Commission is a statutory body in the Australian Capital Territory set up to regulate prices, access to infrastructure services and other matters in relation to regulated industries. The Commission is required to consider a wide range of issues including environmental impacts. The Commission is currently conducting an inquiry into secondary water use in the ACT and recently released a summary report on the ACT’s Electricity Scheme for feed-in from renewable energy regulators to the electricity network.
