Joe Mifsud is Managing Director of COEE Consulting, and a Certified Environmental Practitioner (CEnvP #0342).
Joe has over 30 years experience in environmental science and project management with a hands-on approach to deliver practical and cost effective solutions to environmental challenges. He has worked in all facets of the mining and energy industry from the permitting stage through to site closure and has managed difficult assignments such as the $US 30 million cleanup of a major tailings spill (Marcopper Mine, Philippines) and as a specialist mining adviser to the World Bank in the remediation of the Zambian Copperbelt mines and smelters.
Joe's specialist experience is in environmental impact assessment, site remediation, mine rehabilitation and revegetation, mine closure, submarine tailing disposal, marine impact assessment and investigations, environmental chemistry, coordinating specialist projects, staff training, risk assessments and developing practical control measures to protect the environment.
