VIC - Environment Student Careers Evening: Diversity and Resilience in Environmental Practice

Environmental leaders share their thoughts on building a career and adapting to change in the growing field of environmental practice.

EIANZ Victoria Division in partnership with Green Steps invite you to attend an evening of discussion on careers in environmental practice.

A panel of experienced environmental professionals from across different sectors will speak about their unique career journeys, and the challenges and changes that they have experienced along the way. The panel session will be facilitated by Green Steps’ Senior Trainer Mark Boulet, with opportunities for questions and networking after the first half of the evening.

Panel members for this event will include:

  • Michael Nolan – Principal Advisor and Chair, UN Global Compact Cities Programme
  • Angela Rutter – Director of Engagement, Australian Conservation Foundation
  • Amanda Jones – Environment Leader, Energy Australia
  • Dr. Harmut Fuenfgeld – Senior Lecturer, Sustainability and Urban Planning at RMIT

If you are currently enrolled, or are considering enrolment in an environmental education program, this is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about what options are available to you after graduation.

Come along and hear from our panel about what it’s like to work as an environmental practitioner in the private, government, industry and not-for-profit sectors – and how you can best position yourself for challenges and changes in your own career journeys.
