Expressions of Interest for Policy and Practice Board Committee open

Published 18 August 2015

Are you interested in the development of environmental policy and good practice environmental management?

You may be the very person the EIANZ Board is looking for to support it through the work of the Policy and Practice Committee.

Expressions of Interest are now invited from Institute members to join the Policy and Practice Committee.

The Committee is chaired by Zena Helman FEIANZ of the Victorian Division, who will be joined on the Committee by a Board member, a member of the Institute’s Advisory Council, and ten other EIANZ members.  At least one member of the Committee must be a member from the New Zealand Chapter.

The Committee has significant responsibilities to advise the Board on:

  • Policy and position statements, guidelines and discussion papers on good practice environmental management
  • Promotion of the development and delivery of continuing professional development activities for environmental practitioners
  • Preparation of submissions to public enquiries and responses to public reports on environmental matters.

Through this Committee, the Institute can play an influential role in the implementation of environmental policy and good practice environmental management, and the professional development of its members.

Is this your passion as an environmental professional?  Here is your opportunity to apply your skills to help shape environmental policy and ethical good practice environmental management.

Expressions of Interest close on Friday 4 September 2015.

The EIANZ recruits to opportunities, whether they be paid employment or volunteer roles, on an equal opportunity basis.
