2017 Environmental Practitioners' Workshop | Call for abstracts

The EIANZ WA Division and the Environmental Practitioners Network WA are pleased to present the 2017 Environmental Practitioners’ Workshop: Sharing experiences in environmental practice, to be held on 26 May 2017. The workshop organising committee is calling for abstracts for potential presentation at the Environmental Practitioners' Workshop.

Presentation topics include:

Biodiversity, restoration, rehabilitation and offsetting
Waste and contamination
Climate change - impacts, adaptation, litegration into existing practices
Citizen science and community involvement in environmental initiatives
Community engagement, transparency and right to know
Sustainable development and rating schemes
Legislation, regulation, policy and planning
Bushfire management
Integrated resource management (including Traditional land management)
Solutions to environmental problems - simple to technological advancement
Industry (agribusiness, fisheries, renewable energy, mining, transport, water)
Limitations and solutions in environmental risk

Environmental practitioners are encouraged to submit a 200 word abstract on an environmental project, initiative or key learning that they would like to share with their peers.

Save the date | 2017 Environmental practitioners' workshop

The EIANZ WA Division and Environmental Practitioners Network WA's 2017 Environmental Practitioners’ Workshop: Sharing experiences in environmental practice is scheduled for the 26 May 2017. This workshop aims to be of interest to the entire environmental practitioner community including students, community conservation and landcare groups, professionals from all industries, regulators, local government and the public sector. Registrations will open in March 2017.
