Climate Change Skills Training

EIANZ was awarded a grant by the Department of Climate Change to provide climate change adaptation skills training to people interested and working in this exciting area of policy and technological development. The Institute is rolling out this 'Climate Change Skills' training across Australia through its Divisional offices.

The training package includes all materials and some additional support from the course developers. To run this training successfully, the ACT division is seeking interest from members to assist in organising the Boot Camp training in Canberra.

If you are interested in being involved in the organisation of the boot camp or just wanting to know more about what is involved, please contact Lisa Bambic on 0413446763 or lisa.bambic@nwc.gov.au

What is the focus of the Climate Change Skills Training Program?

The focus of the program and forums is to provide professional development opportunities to environmental practitioners in both climate change adaptation and climate change mitigation fields.

The forums and online resources introduce practitioners to planned adaptation and mitigation responses to projected impacts of climate change. They also offer a doorway into the rapidly evolving fields of knowledge that are emerging as we seek to reduce vulnerability to climate change and adapt our systems to cope with the challenges of climate change.

Where is the ACT Cliamte Change Skills Training being held?
