October 2010 - Ten Years to Transition - Conversations about Risks and Rewards for Queensland's Economic Sectors under Climate Change

On 18 October 2010, environmental professionals were asked to be part of a conversation with leading economists, industry leaders and international experts on the risks and rewards for Queensland’s economy from climate change and climate policy.

Attendees heard what our leading economists see on the horizon, how key companies and industry sectors are positioning themselves to exploit the opportunities presented by this new business environment, and the implications of international trends for Australia and Queensland. They engaged with the experts in constructing industry�sector road maps for the next decade as a structured response to the challenges ahead.

The Plastics and Chemicals Industries Association is steering a path towards a sustainable future.

On April 22nd some of Australia’s best strategists outlined what they really think the future holds for Australian society and industry.

Four speakers and over 90 attendees assessed the future, the threats and opportunities involved and in four workshops discussed what they mean for Australia and our industry. This was an important day to plan for sustainable growth.
