March 2010 - Green Tie Ball

The EIANZ SEQ was proud to present the Green Tie Ball to celebrate the achievements of the environmental profession and Earth Hour. Organisations were encouraged to bring clients and staff to share our joint commitment in making a difference.

It was a night to share your views and enthusiasm on how we protect our environment and to celebrate the achievements made so far.

Date Saturday 27 March 2010 (Earth Hour)
Time 6pm - 11pm
Venue The Victoria Park Function Centre
223 Herston Road, Herston

The evening included guest speaker, Emeritus Professor Tor Hundloe OAM., author of “From Buddha to Bono” and “The Planet of the Thinking Animals”, Founding President and life member of the EIANZ.

Our entertainment for the evening also included the fantastic sounds of 'The Elements', who delivered an energetic and fresh performance. Their varied repertoire of popular songs spanned the 60's through to current radio hits ensured there was something for everyone, with many of us kicking up our heels.

During Earth Hour, the band played 'unplugged' as we enjoyed the Brisbane city skyline.
