Join us - make a difference for the environment, for the profession and for yourself
Prospective members in New Zealand may download a New Zealand Membership Application or contact the Chapter office. The Chapter office can provide contact details of members in each region who have agreed to answer questions about the advantages of joining the EIANZ. The form for prospective NZ members is slightly different from the Australian form and includes information about fees payable to the New Zealand office.
Membership benefits are the same for all EIANZ members. The NZ Chapter provides additional networking opportunities and NZ certification standards may vary to suit the NZ context for environmental management.

Panel members were Gay Pavelka (facilitator), Leo Fietje (Environment Canterbury), Stephanie Brown (Opus), Kevin Vincent (NZIM Southern), Prof. Ian Spellerberg (Lincoln University), and Ced Croft (EIANZ).
The Chapter AGM followed the Ethics Seminar. Here is your 2009-10 Chapter Executive.

Chapter History
Following the efforts of a key group of individuals lead by the first NZ Chapter President, Dr Ton Bührs, the NZ Chapter of EIANZ was created with the inaugural meeting on 28th February 2003 in Christchurch. This brought together potential members from various parts of New Zealand.
The official launch of the NZ Chapter took place in May 2003 at Te Papa in Wellington. Since then the NZ Chapter has focused on building membership of EIANZ in New Zealand with regular forums/meetings in Christchurch, Wellington, Auckland and Bay of Plenty. As membership numbers grow, events will start to happen in other regional centres.
In March 2005 the NZ Chapter hosted the annual EIANZ conference. The conference was held in Christchurch and over 230 people attended from both sides of the Tasman.
In 2010, the annual conference will once again be held in New Zealand. Watch this space for further details.
