Climate Change Skills Forum
EIANZ was awarded a grant by the Department of Climate Change to provide climate change adaptation skills training to people interested and working in this exciting area of policy and technological development. The Institute rolled out this 'Climate Change Skills' training across Australia through its Divisional offices.
The ACT Division held its Climate Change Skills Forum on 20 August 2010.
What was the focus of the Climate Change Skills Training Program?
The focus of the program and forums was to provide professional development opportunities to environmental practitioners in both climate change adaptation and climate change mitigation fields.
The forum and online resources introduced practitioners to planned adaptation and mitigation responses to projected impacts of climate change. It also offered a doorway into the rapidly evolving fields of knowledge that are emerging as we seek to reduce vulnerability to climate change and adapt our systems to cope with the challenges of climate change.
